Fees & Insurance

Psychotherapy

Fully licensed clinicians (LCSW) charge $175/session.

Associate licensed clinicians (LCSWA) charge $145/session.

Graduate level interns charge $50/session.

Above fees are based on 55 minute therapy sessions.

We are in-network for Aetna insurance plans. Read more below in our insurance section.

*Each clinician is able to offer a few adjusted fee slots to clients who are in need of financial support. Please inquire about reduced fees with your individual clinician.

Assessment and Coaching

ADHD Assessment: $1000

Autism/full spectrum psychosocial evaluation: $2000

Both assessments include document review, screenings, a full diagnostic report, and, when indicated, any documentation needed for accommodations in school or work settings.

We are in-network for Aetna insurance plans. Read more below in our insurance section about how to talk to your clinician about insurance benefits for testing.

We will provide you with a Superbill for your assessment, which you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your plan’s mental health benefits and deductible.

Insurance

All clinicians (excluding graduate interns) are in-network with Aetna.

Your clinician will file a claim for sessions billed under Aetna insurance plans, and provide a “superbill” (receipt) to clients for each month’s appointments. Clients are responsible for co-payments, any co-insurance costs, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums specified by their insurance plan’s mental/behavioral health benefits.

If you are paying out-of-pocket for services, full payment is due at the time of each service. We will provide you with a monthly superbill for each month’s appointments which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement (reimbursement rates are based on your individual plan).

If you do not have Aetna and will be using out-of-network benefits, call your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have mental/behavioral health insurance benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network, mental health benefit reimbursement rate? (90837 is the billing code for 55 minute outpatient psychotherapy sessions.)

  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?

  • Do I have a deductible, and has it been met?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician

Not all services or conditions are covered by health insurance, and the costs of those services are the responsibility of the client on an out of pocket basis. We can only file claims for reimbursement of covered services addressing covered conditions.

Relationship/marriage/couples therapy is one example of a service that is not covered by insurance plans, as it is not currently covered by medical coding and billing. Therefore, all relationship counseling costs are billed directly to clients.

Good Faith Estimate of Charges

As required by the ‘No Surprises Act’ of 2020, all mental health providers are required to ask about client’s insurance coverage (including whether clients intend to submit claims to their insurance company) and to provide a ‘Good Faith Estimate for Health Care Items and Services’ to all self-pay or uninsured clients when care is scheduled, and/or when requested by the client. I will provide this estimate to all self-pay and uninsured clients at the beginning of treatment and annually thereafter.

A Good Faith Estimate is not necessary at this time for clients who are planning to use their insurance benefits to cover their services, but all clients have a right to request a Good Faith Estimate at any time.
