Affiliate Providers

Our Affiliate Providers are independent healing professionals who share our space, our values, and our commitment to thoughtful, affirming care. They can be psychiatric providers, bodyworkers, physical therapists, coaches, and other practitioners whose work complements the psychotherapy and evaluation services we provide at New River.

Like our clinicians, our Affiliate Providers are trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, and work with all types of bodies and identities.

While they operate their own independent practices and are not employees or contractors of New River, we have chosen to share space and community with them because we trust their work and work collaboratively with each of them.

Clayton Sabine, Massage Therapist

I am a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (NC # 22406). I'm also a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations.   I believe that bodywork can be a powerful component in any person's wellness.  My therapeutic approach is rooted in a deep appreciation for the resilience and healing capacity of the human body.  I bring a trauma informed approach and a holistic, biopsychosocial framework to understand the unique beliefs, goals and needs of each client I work with.  I customize each treatment and draw from multiple modalities including myofascial release,  Swedish, sports, facilitated stretching, Shiatsu and others.

I am committed to honesty, integrity and compassion in all our interactions and strive to always maintain a safe and nurturing environment.

Robin Warfield, Health and Well-Being Coach (HWC)

I am a Duke-Certified Health and Well-Being Coach (HWC) and Endorsed Reflective Supervisor/Consultant with a doctorate in adult education. I am dedicated to healing work and trauma-informed approaches in health and wellness for all individuals and families. While my academic background and training lies in human development and family studies, I have personal experience with type 1 diabetes, chronic illness and chronic pain, depression, anxiety, OCD, disordered eating and the impacts of these conditions on mindbody and family systems. A partnership with me means support in sensemaking, emotional processing, and ultimately organizing tailored actionable steps forward when information leads to overwhelm. I believe in a holistic approach to getting "unstuck" and in the many forms it may take, and I consider it my deepest privilege to co-create healing spaces with my clients that are both dynamic and sustainable.
